We are very excited to announce the opening of our newest studio on the picturesque Farm Coast of Massachusetts, located between Providence, RI and the mouth of Cape Cod.

Moving the studio’s creative center from New York to an historic waterfront textile mill in New Bedford, MA has spawned a new era at MATERIA; one focused on craft, materials research and entirely new métiers, including the introduction of MATERI(A)NTIQUES and the forthcoming MATERIA MARINE.

Our collection of MATERI(A)NTIQUES, available to shop in person exclusively in our new space, is comprised of pieces individually selected by Megan and Matt, and reflects their often irreverent taste in vintage and antique objects. Their curation of antique items is meant to be at once refined and accessible, and is sourced without regard to provenance; they quite simply purchase what they love. 

MATERIA’s newest space centers Megan and Matt’s art practices and reflects the choice to prioritize creative generation as the foundation of their studio’s future in product development, interiors, collectible design and the unique and human-made.

This summer, as we enter this exciting new phase, we invite you into our studio; not only to meet co-owners Megan and Matt, but for an exclusive view inside their collaborative, creative process and to experience first hand the world they have been slowly building since MATERIA’s inception in 2009.
