GALLERY Sales Assistant
WE ARE looking for an organized, enthusiastic, forward thinking Assistant to join the growing team in OUR New York City gallery.
Sales assistants will assist the Director of Sales in all operations of our gallery. Primary responsibilities will include answering phones, greeting clients, responding to sales inquiries received through our website, setting up trade accounts, maintaining calendars, scheduling showroom appointments, following up on quotes, maintaining price lists and setting up shipments and deliveries.
Candidates must excel at multi tasking in a fast paced, extremely detail oriented environment, while keeping track of both short term and long term deliverables for multiple clients at once.
A minimum of 2 years experience working in luxury sales, whether in fashion, design or another relevant market, is required.
The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, with great attention to detail. Sales Assistants will need to work well in a team environment, as well as possess a polished ability to intelligently communicate with Interior Designers and Architecture firms about all of our products.
Candidate will excel working independently when required, and thrive working on detail oriented projects with multiple deadlines. Candidates will be eager to learn, and ideally have a passion for all aspects of Art and Design.
Proficiency in Numbers, Pages, Adobe CS are expected, and a basic understanding of Quick books is preferred but not required. The assistant will ideally have a flexible schedule and can easily transition from a part-time to a full-time position. The ideal candidate must be a polished, outgoing and confident individual.
This position will start out as a part-time position with the possibility of full-time work and promotion for the correct candidate.
