MARKETING / SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT

 

Reports to: Marketing Coordinator and Creative Director

Position Purpose: 

The Marketing / Social Media Assistant will work directly with the Marketing Coordinator and/or Creative Director to strategize and communicate the creative vision and brand values of MATERIA across all social channels.

The ideal candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills, an understanding of the luxury home space and an extremely developed attention to detail and the capacity to work on different projects at once. 

Essential Functions:

Strategy & Reporting

  • Strategize and generate relevant social media marketing campaigns (IG, Pinterest, Tik Tok etc).

  • Ensure there is consistent MATERIA brand representation across social media platforms.

  • Communicate internally with our Marketing and Sales Teams to understand our best selling products and strategize campaigns to elevate and increase revenue.

  • Create and conduct analytics reporting across multiple channels to assess success of campaigns, ROI of deliverables and how to improve in the future.

  • Develop short, mid and long-term goals and the associated metrics of success. 

  • Track SEO and other KPIs as part of the report of monthly analytics.

  • Collect and report monthly metrics from IG, Pinterest, Tik Tok, etc.

Content Creation & Management

  • Assist the Marketing Coordinator and/or Creative Director with product photoshoots and video production

    • Develop photoshoot schedule

    • Develop and manage shot lists of products 

    • Execute MATERI(A)NTIQUES photoshoots 

    • Processing of MATERI(A)NTIQUES photos and video prior to publishing

  • Work with CD to plan social content, create/edit content in Preview or similar and prepare for the CD to publish on schedule.

  • Develop and execute paid campaigns on relevant social media platforms.

  • Manage social media channels, respond to comments and messages, garner new DTC and TRADE contacts, and foster meaningful interactions with followers. 

  • Create and execute all brand newsletters, analyzing performance metrics across all channels. 

    • Work closely with the CD to approve content and then purpose calendar for approval

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social media and marketing.

  • Experience using IG, Pinterest, Tik Tok and related data analytics.

  • Proficient with Google Analytics, Google AdWords and social ad platforms.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Strong strategic mindset and the ability to produce statistics-driven insights. 

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to stay organized and detail oriented in the face of many simultaneous projects and deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an understanding of our overall brand voice and general ethos.

  • Thrives in both self driven and group work environments, and is willing, able and excited to pivot as needed to get the job done within a small, collaborative, creative company. 

This is a part-time, freelance, in-person position (Eastern Massachusetts / Rhode Island) with the ability to transition to full-time for the right candidate. 

 

STUDIO ASSISTANT

 

Reports to: Production / Operations Manager (Interim: Creative Director)


Position Purpose: 

The Studio Assistant will work directly with the Production / Operations Manager (Interim: Creative Director) to facilitate the smooth day-to-day operations of the MATERIA studio by providing administrative, operational and organizational support. 

The ideal candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills, an understanding of production systems and organization, and an extremely developed attention to detail and the capacity to work on many different nuanced projects at once. 

Essential Functions:

Studio Operations, Maintenance & Logistics

  • Keep the studio clean and appropriately stocked with supplies

  • Set up systems (digital/physical) of organization for inventory, supplies, in-stock items and other applicable categories 

  • Maintain studio equipment

  • Physically receive inventory; move it, check it in, organize and store safely

  • Handle shipping and receiving of vendor parts (to and from studio) both small and large 

  • Handle delicate / high value shipping and receiving of in-stock and MATERI(A)NTIQUES to end clients, maintaining highest standards of MATERIA methods and practices.

  • Assist with loading / unloading of MATERI(A)NTIQUES (including furniture) and moving between studio and storage units

  • Run errands; storage units, antiques pick-up locations, hardware store, UPS, USPS etc

  • Assisting creative teams with various tasks, which can include preparing materials, organizing documents, and even assisting with the physical creation / prototyping of new MATERIA products

Studio Administrative Support

  • Manage the physical and digital inventory and re-order of vendor parts

  • Manage the physical and digital inventory of in-stock furniture, lighting and MATERI(A)NTIQUES 

  • Coordinate with Owners, Marketing and Sales Teams via email, phone, slack and in-person, to facilitate shipping of necessary vendor parts, marketing collateral, materials samples, in-stock MATERIA furniture, lighting, lightbulbs, MATERI(A)NTIQUES etc

  • Manage digital shipping and receiving schedules / calendars

  • Perform data entry of vendor parts, MATERIA inventory, MATERI(A)NTIQUES 

  • Create shipping Waybills, pack slips and UPS/FED-EX/USPS labels and insurance receipts

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in a creative studio / production environment in either Admin or Production 

  • Experience using CRM software such as Click - Up  and related data analytics

  • Proficient with Google Drive; spreadsheets, documents, images

  • Proficient with Dropbox, Slack, MacMail

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite a plus

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to stay organized and detail oriented in the face of many simultaneous projects and deadlines.

  • Thrives in both self driven and group work environments, and is willing, able and excited to pivot as needed to get the job done within a small, collaborative, creative company. 

  • Valid US drivers license (familiarity driving a small box truck / moving van a plus)

This is a part-time, freelance, in-person position (Eastern Massachusetts/Rhode Island) with the ability to transition to full-time for the right candidate.
